Maggie the Performer

Maggie is a classically-trained lyric soprano whose credits run the gamut of classical theatre, musical theatre, opera, sacred music, and oratorio. Notable performances include Dido and Aeneas (Belinda), Uncle Vanya (Sonya), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne), Creation (Gabriel), and many more. She has trained at Tanglewood and Shakespeare & Company, and is very proficient with Gregorian chant. Maggie also fosters a love of collaborative work; she has found great joy and fulfillment in her performances of Benjamin Britten’s Canticles Abraham and Isaac and The Journey of the Magi, Franz Schubert’s cantata Mirjam’s Siegesgesang, and Isabella Leonarda’s Cara Regina.

Maggie has regularly performed with Little Door Theatre, Toledo Opera, the St. Benedict Tridentine Schola Cantorum, and St. James Cathedral Chicago. She has made appearances with the Grand Rapids Symphony, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Riverbank Theatre, and the Detroit Concert Choir.
